Within the framework of the 31st Agrotica Expo, held in Thessaloniki from 12 to 15 March, GAIA EPICHEIREIN presented the PoliRuralPlus project through an integrated and collaborative approach, highlighting its role in supporting innovation, participatory governance and sustainable rural development.
As the largest agricultural exhibition in Greece and one of the most prominent agri-food events in Europe, Agrotica brought together thousands of stakeholders from across the agricultural and rural development ecosystem, including farmers, advisors, cooperatives, researchers, agri-business representatives, policymakers and innovation actors.
PoliRuralPlus was showcased at the GAIA EPICHEIREIN booth alongside a broader portfolio of European projects, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, cross-project synergies and meaningful dialogue with stakeholders. Through continuous on-site discussions and informal bilateral exchanges, the team explored the needs, challenges and opportunities of rural areas, with particular emphasis on the objectives of the Greek pilot.
Particular added value came from engaging with a broad and diverse audience, as well as from linking PoliRuralPlus with complementary initiatives addressing innovation, advisory services, youth empowerment in agriculture and policy development grounded in real needs from the field.
