On 10 June 2026 at 17:30 CEST, PoliRuralPlus Malta Pilot will host “Next-Gen Farming: Technology in Action”, the first session in a four-part series exploring practical digital tools for farming, agritourism and rural business growth.

Farming will always require skill, grit, and passion, but the next generation does not have to do it all the hard way. From smarter planning and better use of resources to reducing water waste and supporting more confident day-to-day decisions, technology can help farmers and rural businesses become more resilient, sustainable and competitive.

This free 90-minute webinar will offer a practical look at how AI, digital tools and smart agriculture solutions can support the future of farming in smaller rural areas. The session will feature real examples from the field, alongside expert insights into the opportunities and challenges of adopting new technologies in place-based and small-scale farming contexts.

The event will bring together voices from agriculture and innovation, being:

Speakers

Angele Giuliano – Founder & Managing Director, AcrossLimits
Jordi Pietx – Biologist and MSc in Environmental Sciences and Ecology; Consultant on networking in environmental and social innovation at jordipietx.NET
Jo Sakota – Co-Founder, Bio Aqua Garden; Agritech Innovator; Speaker on Youth in Agri

Participants will gain insight into how technology can improve efficiency, unlock new opportunities and support long-term sustainability in agriculture and rural communities.
