PoliRuralPlus will participate in the New European Bauhaus (NEB) satellite event ‘City Soils, City Souls: Urban Agriculture Contribution’, taking place online on 11 June 2026.

Organised within the Horizon Europe project FOODCITYBOOST, the workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and European initiatives to explore how urban agriculture can contribute to more sustainable, resilient, and inclusive cities.

The event will focus on the role of urban agriculture in shaping future food systems, supporting urban and peri-urban transitions, and strengthening rural-urban synergies in line with the values of the New European Bauhaus.

The programme will feature presentations and discussions on sustainability assessment methods, socio-economic and environmental impacts, policy perspectives, living labs, innovative urban agriculture systems, and the future of urban food systems.

PoliRuralPlus will be presented during the afternoon session, which is dedicated to European projects and emerging research areas in urban agriculture.

The workshop will also include contributions from several European projects and initiatives, including FEED4FOOD, CoFarm4Cities, BAUHAUSBITES, FoodE, REDESIGN, and RURBANIVE.
