Empowering collaboration through MAATool and RAMON: A New Approach to Multi-Actor Innovation
The latest PoliRuralPlus webinar, led by Alejo Martín Arias Filippo (SINNO) showcased the MAATool platform, a dynamic environment designed to enhance collaboration, goal tracking, and stakeholder engagement across innovation ecosystems and living labs. The session offered both conceptual insights and a live demonstration of MAATool’s practical capabilities.
The webinar began with an introduction to living labs and social spaces, highlighting the multi-actor methodology central to the PoliRuralPlus project. Rather than serving as a traditional project management system, MAATool was presented as a coordination and participation platform, helping users document, monitor, and align activities across diverse stakeholder networks. Participants saw how activity logging and goal tracking features make it possible to visualize ongoing work, connect objectives with actions, and assess engagement across regions or work packages.
A highlight of the session was the introduction of Ramon, MAATool’s integrated AI agent, which leverages large language models (LLMs) and agentic AI to support co-creation and project orchestration. Through live demonstration, Alejo showed how Ramon can respond to natural language questions, suggest new activities, and even update project data in real time. This integration transforms MAATool into an interactive and intelligent workspace, capable of providing insights and facilitating decision-making in collaborative environments.
The session concluded with a brief overview of OAuth integration with Google, ensuring secure authentication and user management. Alejo emphasized that MAATool, enhanced by Ramon’s AI assistance, aims to streamline innovation management, allowing project teams to focus on creativity, cooperation, and real-world impact rather than administrative complexity.
