On June 12, the Bavarian team of the Czech-Bavarian pilot visited the LfL site in Ruhstorf, Bavaria.
The Ruhstorf site is part of the Bavarian State Research Center for Agriculture Bayerische Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft and focuses on applied research in modern and sustainable agriculture. Its work includes topics such as digital farming, agricultural engineering, agritourism, and climate-adapted production systems, developed in close cooperation with practice and industry.
The site serves as a testing and innovation hub where research is translated into practical solutions for farmers and the rural economy.
The structure and operations of the LfL site in Ruhstorf provided valuable input for the design of an agricultural innovation hub in Klatovy. The visit generated important insights into the hands-on functioning of such a hub, as well as current research topics relevant for both scientists and farmers in the region and sparked new ideas for its future development.
